Take 1 Haddock fillet, cut into cubes
Take 400 grams Large peeled prawns
Prepare 200 grams Muscle meat ( I used frozen)
Get 400 grams Calamari
Make ready 1 can Condensed Chicken or chicken and mushroom soup
Get 1 can Whole corn
Make ready 2 tsp Fresh thyme. Finely chopped
Get 2 tsp Fresh parsley finely chopped
Take 1 tsp Crushed garlic
Get 250 ml Fresh cream
Make ready 1 Salt
Make ready 1 Black pepper
Get 1/2 Red pepper chopped roughly
Get 1/2 Yellow pepper chopped
Get 2 large Carrots. Peeled and chopped
Get 2 medium Potatoes. Peeled and chopped
Take 1/2 packages Bacon chopped
Make ready 1/2 tsp Dried sage
Get 1 Chili finely chopped
Make ready 1/2 packages Fresh button mushrooms
Instructions to make Seafood Chowder:
Fry bacon bits for a few minutes. Add prawns to pan and fry until colour changes ( about 3/4 minutes). Place in slow cooker. All ingredients except for cream. Do not drain the corn, add liquid to the pot. Add 1/2 can of water to the soup can and rinse out into the pot. Cook on low for 5 hours. Take out half of the chowder and blend with stick blender. Be careful to throw prawns and calamari back into the pot whole. This will thicken the chowder. Add cream and cook for a further 15 minutes.
