(It needs to be large sause pot).bring to a boil, while sugar is caramelizing.pour caramelized sugar in milk mixture slowly into boil mixture.(carefuly pour it will bubble up to top of pot),stir very fast.cook to 245°F check heat with candy thermometer, when it reaches 245°F take it off the heat, still stirring frequently.
  4. immediately add the soda, again becareful its going to bubble and rise and foam up.stir hard.then add butter.stir only long enough for the better to melt .
  5. let cool for 25 minutes on the side.
  6. after 25 minues of cooling, add vanilla extract, stir and beat untill thick and creamy.add peacans folding them in dont stir, folding them in.
  7. pour in a 9×13 buttered pan or glass dish.
  8. let cool on counter for 1 hour then place in refrigerator, for 6 hours, then cut intop bite size pieces.
  9. this will keep for along time, if in tight container, enjoy them
