Instructions to make 3 Chocolate Bar Brownie:
  1. Preheat the oven to 160°C and line a cake tin with baking paper. Sift together the cake flour, cocoa powder and baking powder.
  2. Melt the chocolate and butter together in a bowl suspended over a pan of boiling water. Then add the sugar, honey, milk and egg in that order, mixing in with a whisk after each addition.
  3. Add all of the powder ingredients from Step 1 into the bowl from Step 2 all at once and fold in with a rubber spatula. Pour the mixture into the cake tin, make the surface even and then bake for 30 minutes at 160°C. When it looks as though it may need a bit longer, it's actually just ready to come out.
  4. Once baked, leave to cool. Wrap in cling film and leave to rest for at least 12 hours before serving. The flavours haven't properly blended yet so it doesn't taste as good just after cooking.
  5. I sprinkled some walnuts over the surface of my brownies and baked them. I just broke the walnuts apart with my hands so there was no need for a chopping board.
  6. Serve with some runny heavy cream.
