  1. NOTE ABOUT POTATOES: if filling is for samosas, omit potatoes and replace with an additional onion.
  2. Mix the ground beef with 1 tsp salt and 1 tsp turmeric. Leave aside.
  3. Heat (medium) coconut oil in a pot and add in 1 tsp cumin when hot. Let it roast (10-15 seconds) and then add the ground beef (put the heat on low).
  4. Immediately add 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste and the tomato purée. Mix and stir well, ensuring there are no lumps.
  5. Mix and keep stirring as the water is boiled out on low heat. This should take around 20-30 minutes.
  6. Once water is boiled out, add chopped onions to pot and continue to mix.
  7. Add the chopped coriander, chilies, and chili flakes. Cover and leave for another 2 minutes on low heat.
